Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields of study seek opportunities to enhance their education with preparation for both the STEM workforce industry as well as research positions. Business, industry, and public agencies seek highly-ˇskilled, well-ˇ trained STEM graduates who can contribute immediately to the workplace. Institutions of Higher Education are facing high demands by these various sectors to provide education that helps aligning students' subject interests with these industry areas. Our presentation will discuss a specific case study of PSM, but the lessons learned are applicable across disciplines and are in fact the direction of undergraduate and graduate level education today and looking into the future by introducing a model originated at the Claremont Colleges. We would share our efforts and findings from the student outcomes of PSM alumni survey data case studies of both undergraduate and graduate students in STEM fields of study at the Claremont Colleges. We hope that our presentation will help developing new curricula for university faculty and administrators, and students, alumni and business/industry to understand the benefits and quality of PSM-ˇlike programs and education.
